Literacy
This week we are going to be focusing on the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. Below are a few activities that you can do with your child based on the story.
If you have this story at home then share it with your child to familiarise them with the story. Otherwise you can listen to the story on the following website and then complete the suggested activities:
Literacy
The caterpillar eats a lot of different food. Can you make a simple food diary to show what you eat each day? You can use this template or make your own booklet.
Sentence Game
Can you try hard to read the sentences and write in the missing word? All the sentences are linked to the story 'The Hungry Caterpillar'.
Maths
In the story the caterpillar eats different food on different days. Do you know how many days there are in a week? Can you name them in the correct order? Learn some days of the week songs and then cut and stick the days of the week in the correct order.
Big Maths Learn Its
Using the music below, your child will complete their Big Maths Learn It sheet. They know which sheet they are working on. They need to get full marks three times in a row before they move onto the next Learn It sheet.
