Our school curriculum is defined as everything our learners experience in pursuit of the four purposes. It is not just what we teach but also how we teach it and, importantly, why. As a staff, we have designed a 3D curriculum. Our curriculum contains 126 modules from Reception to year 6, which are closely linked together. Each module builds on previous learning and prepares pupils for future learning. Knowledge, skills, and experiences are carefully sequenced to give pupils at Porthcawl Primary a unique learning journey.
When designing our curriculum the vision that underpinned everything we did was – Experts learn better. We aim to inspire, support and challenge all children so that they have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
