Welcome from the Head Teacher
We are a small and friendly primary school set in extensive grounds. We have less than 200 children from 3 to 11 years old, including our own full time Nursery.
We are passionate about providing a fantastic education for all our children. We aim to provide an exceptional learning environment where children are happy, enthusiastic and inspired. We want everyone to feel excited about coming to school! Our curriculum enables children to gain the knowledge, skills and experiences necessary to lead happy, successful and fulfilling lives.

Another fabulous week in Dosbarth Ogwr! The children have had lots of fun taking part in our Humpty Dumpty challenges. They enjoyed using props to act out the rhyme, sticking Humpty back together with plasters and building walls using a variety of different materials. We have also met another Ten Town number character, Tommy Two! The children worked really hard practising their number formation and hunting for the number 2 outside. We have made the most of the sunshine too, taking our learning outdoors. The children enjoyed making different positions in the mud kitchen and practising their throwing and catching skills. Da iawn, Dosbarth Ogwr! What a fantastic week of learning, exploring and having fun!

Our Celtic adventure has begun! In Dosbarth Teifi we have had a fantastic start to our new topic all about the Celts. We have explored what life was like in the Iron Age, learned all about Celtic roundhouses and even designed our own hillforts. The children have also been learning how to talk about the Celts yn Gymraeg! I am so proud of their enthusiasm and curiosity they have shown already and can't wait to see where our Celtic adventure takes us next!

Today, some of our pupils had the privilege of taking part in Race Against Hate, organised by South Wales Police. We were absolutely blown away by every single one of them. They were happy, kind and incredibly supportive of their friends and peers taking part in the races but what made us even prouder was seeing them cheer on pupils from other schools too. They made it their mission to make sure everyone felt supported and celebrated. They really did Race Against Hate today, showing exactly what kindness, inclusion and community spirit look like. We are so, so proud of every one of you! A huge thank you to all of the grown-ups who came along and helped today too. The school community spirit was absolutely outstanding although we're pretty sure we may have been the loudest supporters there! South Wales Police what an incredible event. It's been all about 3D shapes in Dosbarth Teifi this week! We've had lots of fun investigating, sorting and exploring different 3D shapes while learning plenty of new vocabulary along the way. From faces, edges and vertices to cubes, cuboids and pyramids, we've become real shape experts! To put our learning into action, we even challenged ourselves to build our own 3D shapes using a variety of construction materials. It was fantastic to see everyone's creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills shining through. Can you spot any 3D shapes around your home? Why not see how many you can find!
