Croeso i Ysgol Gynradd Porthcawl ~Welcome to Porthcawl Primary School!
We are a small and friendly primary school set in extensive grounds. We have less than 200 children from 3 to 11 years old, including our own full time Nursery.
We are passionate about providing a fantastic education for all our children. We aim to provide an exceptional learning environment where children are happy, enthusiastic and inspired. We want everyone to feel excited about coming to school! Our curriculum enables children to gain the knowledge, skills and experiences necessary to lead happy, successful and fulfilling lives.
We want our whole school community to be ambitious, capable and confident. We believe education is about engendering self-confidence and respect for others.We provide children with opportunities to take responsibility and make decisions that will affect them and their peers so that they learn key values to guide them in the way they lead their lives.
We want all our children (regardless of ability, gender or race) to feel cared for and supported whilst achieving their full potential. We believe strongly in developing the whole child and therefore focus on relationships and wellbeing whilst continuing to pursue excellent academic standards. We know that strong family links are essential and encourage family members to become fully involved in the life of the school.
