Welcome to Porthcawl Primary School PTA
We are very lucky to have a hard working and dedicated PTA
at Porthcawl Primary. Over the last year the PTA have been
instrumental in helping to purchase a range of resources to help
develop and enhance the children's learning. For this academic year
(2009-2010) the PTA has chosen to support two key school improvements
- a new computer suite and outdoor equipment. These two
prioritises were identified from the parents questionnaires in the
summer term. All funds raised will be put towards these two projects.
End of year report from PTA (Summer term 2011)
This year to date we have raised £2,734 (this figure obviously does
not include the Summer Raffle proceeds or any money raised from
the Carnival). The School also received almost £2,000 in donations
from Porthcawl Local Businesses thanks to the efforts of a couple of our
Nursery Mums. A list of where this money has been spent will be put on
the Notice Board for your information.
We are pleased to welcome two new mums from Class 1 onto the PTA -
Joel and Ryan's mums. They found out from our last meeting that we
were trying to raise funds for the computer suite and went straight into
action! With the boys grandfather they have secured donations from many
local business - please see below. At the November meeting they handed
over cheques totalling almost £2000. This is an amazing effort and will make
a huge difference to all our children.
